Story of Alex and David

This is the first story that I've ever written. Haha...So don't be surprised if it's not that good. What I'll be doing for this is that everytime I write a new part, I'll just put it at the end of the post. I'll put a border so that you'll know where I stopped the last time. Haha...Hope you don't get confused. If you do get confused, just tell me and I'll be happy to accept your comments and suggestions. Haha...Hope you like it!
Alex and David

I'm starting in a new school today. Adams Academy. I'm a sophomore and I'm not so sure that I'll be making lots of friends on my first day. But I already know someone who goes to this school and she lives next door to me. Her name is Jessica Colleen. She's really nice and friendly. We walked to school together and she showed me around school. Adams has a really huge campus. The first day of school wasn't really that bad. I managed to get through it. Anyway, earlier during chemistry, I got a lab partner. His name's David and according to Jessica, he's a jock but real smart. She also said that he's a real nice person unlike some other jocks in school. He has a girlfriend named Katelyn. She's a cheerleader. [No surprise there.] Anyway, he didn't seem to like the idea that he has to get stuck with the new girl [that's me] as his new lab partner. Well, I'm sorry but it wasn't my idea that you were to become my lab partner. On the way home, Jessica told me all about David. And he really doesn't seem like such a bad guy.
There's a new girl in school and she's my new lab partner. I'm not saying that I don't like her or anything. She's really smart and she has a really nice smile. But I just don't want to have a new partner in the middle of the school year. But I can't argue with the Professor, he'll kill me if I did. What's done is done I guess. I had soccer practice after school and Kate came over my place after her cheerleading practice. She told me that she needed help with her Algebra. I should have known better that all she wanted to do over at my place was to make out. I can't stop her and besides, I like it when she comes over. I'm not alone in the huge mansion that my parent own. It's lonely being an only child. Especially when your parents are never home.
Jessica came over. We helped each other with our homework.
"What did you get for number 10? I got 20."
"Haha...Same here!"
"What did you..."
"Hold on a sec. What do you think of your lab partner, hmmm?"
"You mean David?"
"Duh! Who else!"
"I dunno. We didn't really get into a conversation."
"But what do you think of his body build?"
"What?!?!"
She jumped off the bed because I yelled right next to her ear. "I'm so sorry, Jes." She said, "That's ok. I don't think I'm deaf. Will you tell me now what you think of him?" I sighed, "He's not so bad. He's real cute but he's really quiet." She said, "OK. Whatever you say. But to most of the girls in school, he's a real hottie. And the sweetest jock in school!
"But the down side of this for us other girls is that he already has a girlfriend."
"You told me that already."
"Huh?"
"About him having a girlfriend. And she's a cheerleader too right?"
"Oh right...Hehehe...I forgot."
"Hey you better get going or your mom'll kill me. Your curfew's almost up."
"OK. See you tomorrow."
"Yeah. Bye."
I'm so glad she's gone home. I really don't get what's so great about him. He is nice and has good looks. I'm not so sure about him.
Another boring day of school. Sigh. Next period, Chem. Not looking forward to this. "Hi David," came voice from my right. Oh right. The new girl. "Hi. Uh..." "My name's Alex," she said with a really cute smile. OK, that was really wrong! I have a girlfriend. A really hot girlfriend. Whatever. Forget about it. It's just her smile. I said to her, "Hi Alex. David. Uh...I guess you know that already." She laughed, not loudly or anything. A somewhat feminine laugh. Then she said, "Haha...Yeah. Hope we'll be friends." She reached out her hand for me to shake. I hesitated. But I reached out for her hand and shook it and said, "Sure. Why not." The bell rung and classes started. The Prof gave us an easy one today. She seemed to finish the task rather quickly. She seems really smart. From what I heard, she's a straight-A student in her past school. Pretty impressive. The bell rung for next period. She said to me, "See you around." "Yeah. Sure." Hmmm...Chem class wasn't this interesting before. Someone covered my eyes and said, "Hi David! Guess who?" "Hmmm...Kate?" She kissed me and said in a real gentle voice, "You guessed right. That kiss was your prize. Want more?" I said weakly, "Sure. Thanks princess." And I kissed her back. Forget about the new girl. You have a hot girlfriend right in your arms kissing you passionately. And she's also the hottest girl in school.
The whole morning was great. After second period, I saw David and Kate kissing - or should I say, making out - in the hallway. The teachers who passed by didn't even notice them or anything. It was a bit weird for me to see a couple making out in the hallways and not one single teacher would tell them off. This is because back in my old school, kissing wasn't allowed. Heck, even holding hands isn't allowed. I could see that some girls were annoyed by what they were doing and kept on whispering to each other.
Suddenly, Jessica sprung out from behind and I jumped. She told me, happily as a matter of fact, "Guess what Alex? There's going to be a play for the cultural fair. It's done every year." I couldn't reply to her because she was holding with both hands and shaking me. "Alex, please audition," as she said this, she let me go. "Why?" I asked. She said, "Please. And it would be great for your record if you were to be part of it. Please. Pretty please."
"What's in it for you if I joined the play?"
"Uhm...Nothing."
"You're hiding something from me."
"No, I'm not."
"Yes. And if you don't tell me now, I'm leaving and going to my next class."
"Since you did say before that you were part of the Drama Club back in your former school, I thought maybe you would be able to beat Kate in acting."
"Wait. What has this got to do with Kate?"
"Whenever there's a play, she and David always get the lead roles. All of us wish that for once that 'tradition' might be broken. Please, Alex. Tell me you'll try."
"OK. Fine. But you'll have to audition too. Coz there's no way I'm auditioning without you."
She paused for a while and said, "Sure. But don't expect me to be chosen." I said, "OK." And then she had a really big grin on her face.
After Kate and I broke apart from kissing, she told me, "Sweetie pie-" I get disgusted whenever she calls me that -"Do you know that our year is going to have a play for the cultural fair?" "Yeah," I replied. "Don't you think we should audition? I mean you're - not only the smartest and hottest jock in school - but you're also the most talented!"
"Are you going to audition?"
"Only if you will..."
The thing is, Kate loves joining these kind of things. So I said, "Sure princess." She flung her arms around me and said sweetly, "I love you." And kissed me. She waved good-bye and said, "See you later during the auditions, OK?" I answered, "Yah..."
I have one more class that Alex is in. Social Studies. I don't get why she's always smiling. But that smile of hers really strikes me. She's real pretty and very nice. "OK everyone, I have a little project for all of you. It'll help you prepare for you future...", said Ms. Jones, the Social Studies teacher. Everybody kept whispering. "...So, I will group all of you in pairs and for one whole week you will be married," the teacher continued. Someone yelled, "Married?! No way am I getting married." Ms. Jones smiled, "It's not real marriage, just pretend. And all you have to do os to get along for one week and plan your life, as husband and wife. That's it. And by next week, I expect to see a 2-page essay about your week on my desk, OK?"
She continued to smile. "So, boys, come up and choose your partner." Oh my...I got Alex! This will be very awkward seeing that I already have a girlfriend. "Now, approach your partner and introduce yourself."
"Hi Alex, my name is David Black. I will be your partner."
OK. That was plain weird!
"Hi David. My name is Alexandra Ryan. Glad to be your partner."
She kept on smiling and she even laughed. She was so cute when she's like that. Miss Jones interrupted, "OK. Now it's time for all of you to choose what kind of job you will have." Hmm...Let's see, I got...A surgeon. That's not so bad. Alex tapped me at the back and said, "I'm a dentist. You?" "Uh...A surgeon," I said with a smile.
I got David as my partner for the Social Studies project Ms. Jones laid out for us. When I told Jess about this while we were heading towards the auditions, she had this to say, "Oh my gosh! He's gonna be your husband for one whole week! This is so great!" I sighed, "C'mon Jess, it's only pretend and I don't intend to fall in love with this guy. He has a girlfriend for crying out loud."
The auditorium was jam packed with sophomores. I think every sophomore is here! Jess told me that most of the girls here are going to try out for the part of Sam [lead role]. She's not so sure with the guys.
While we were signing our names in the paper for the teachers to know who were going to audition, I heard a guy saying, "I really hope I get the part of Brian [lead role]. I even took lessons during my summer vacation. I really want to be able to get into a kissing scene with Kate. It's sure that she'll get the lead female role." Man, is he desperate!
The auditions for the guy roles are held separate from the girl roles. They let you read lines by yourself first. If the teachers think that you are good enough for a part, they'll let you stay and you'll read lines with the person who's suppose to be conversing with you. To my surprise, I got chosen as one of those who might get the part of Sam. But together with me is Kate. For the role of Brian, David and Mark[the guy who took lessons during the summer] got chosen.
The teachers made us do things that they didn't do in auditions before. They asked the four of us (Kate, Alex, Mark and I) to stand on stage and they took a look see on which of us would look great together. Then they made us read lines again. But this time with the opposite sex. It was really funny when Mark came up and was going to say his line, he stood there staring at Kate. Then he fainted. Hahahaha...When I saw Alex act, I thought she was really great. Maybe even better than Kate. [I'm a dead man if she found out about that.]
The auditions started at around 04:00pm and ended at 06:30pm. The teachers said that they'll post their decision tomorrow.
When I got home, mom and dad weren't back yet. Kate came over again. She said, "I don't get it. Why didn't the teachers just tell us that we got the parts?" I thought for a while and said, "I dunno. Maybe they're trying to make this year's play even better since this is the school's 50th anniversary." OK that was rubbish! I was gonna say that the teachers are having a hard time choosing between her and Alex coz Alex was really good. "Well, maybe." She then pressed me down on my bed and started kissing me. Suddenly, I felt that my problems had gone away. Damn this feeling!
The teachers posted the results of the auditions yesterday. Early in the morning, Jess came over and woke me up and she dragged me towards the school. Literally dragged me. She kept saying, "Hurry up Alex! We have to see the results first." I don't get why she has to rush.
But I found out why when we got to school. Loads of students were already waiting in front of the gates. The guards had a hard time opening the gates coz there were so many students trying to push their way in. Poor guards.
One of those students was Kate. It was so unprofessional of her to be doing that. She was one of the girls who first rushed in the school. She seemed pretty shocked at the results. Then she shot a real nasty look at me. Then she came towards me and whispered, "Congratulations. Don't you dare do anything with my David." Then she left. She didn't seem happy when she said 'Congratulations'.
Then Jess came towards me jumping. She yelled, "You got the part! You got the part, Alex! Congratulations!" She did this for around 3minutes I think. She acted like a total kid. And I said, "Thanks! Guess what? Kate congratulated me too. Only she wasn't too happy about doing so." She snorted, "Who cares! You got the part! The lead that Kate always gets!"
More people came to congratulate me. But unlike Kate, they were really happy for me. The bell rang and everyone rushed to their classes. I was so glad. Saved by the bell!
I got the part of Brian. But unfortunately for Kate, she didn't get the lead role. She's the understudy of Alex for the part of Sam. She was really angry when she came to me.
When second period came around, I congratulated Alex when she sat down. She said, "Thanks! Your girlfriend doesn't seem too happy about me getting the part." I laughed, "Yah. I know about that already."
"Is she going to kill me?"
"Huh? Of course not! Why would she kill you?"
"Oh. Never mind."
"Hey. Uh...When do you want to talk about the Social Studies project?"
"Uhm...I dunno. When will you be free? Coz I don't really have much to do after school."
"Oh right. Hmm...How does tomorrow after rehearsals sound?"
"I'm fine with that. Tomorrow's Friday. Sure."
"Great! Would my place be ok with you?"
"Yeah. No problem."
I have to tell Kate not to come over tomorrow. She's going to kill me! Oh well. She won't mind. It is for a school project after all.
After class, I told Kate that she couldn't come over tomorrow. She didn't take it well. And she did mind that I'll be spending time with another girl. Even if it's for school. She said to me, "You're replacing me aren't you?" I replied, "No, Kate. It's just for a school project." Oh boy, she can be so hard sometimes. She acts like a kid when she doesn't get what she want.
Rehearsals started after school and I was excused from soccer practice. Alex was really great. Mr. Carter didn't want us to get to the kissing scenes yet. He said, "You can't kiss yet. I want the play to be as real as possible. So you'll only be kissing on the day of the performance." Kate filled up with glee when she heard this. I didn't mind at all.
After the practices, I told Jessica about me going over to David's place tomorrow to talk about the Social Studies project and as usual, she screamed. She said in a really excited tone, "Really?! You HAVE to tell me EVERYTHING that happens! EVERYTHING, OK?" I said, "Yah sure. But nothing about our project coz you'll have to work on yours too." She sighed, "Aww...I was hoping for FULL details! Anyway, ONLY the project stuff alright." I laughed at her. She seems like she's really desperate to get David. Haha...
Every Thursday, I go over to Jessica's place coz my mom has some friends over. It's kinda weird to have them around. So I told my mom that every Thursday I'd go over to Jess' place instead of having her here in our house.
Since Jess was part of the costume committee, she measured me for my costume for the play. She was so depressed when she wasn't the one chosen to measure David for his costume. When she measured my waist, all she had to say was, "Wow! You're so thin. No wonder guys are attracted to you." I laughed in disagreement and said, "The guys in school aren't attracted to me. No way will they be." She just shook her head and said to me, "So not true! Eric asked Bernice the other day if you would want to go out with him. She said that you don't go on dates." I laughed real hard. She continued, "Then Eric replied to her, 'Will you go out with me?' And Bernice said yes." I laughed even harder.
"Hey, Jess. It's getting a bit late. I should be going now."
"Sure. Come on I'll see you to the door."
"Thanks."
When I got home, mom and her friends were already asleep on the table. They looked like little kids napping. Haha...I went straight to bed and just forgot about what Jess said about Eric wanting to ask me out.
When Kate came over today, she was still mad at both me AND Alex. She said to me angrily, "WHY should she come over tomorrow? AND WHY can't I come over if she's here?!" I told her, "She's coming over because we have to talk about the Social Studies project. You can't come over because you also have the same project. OK Kate? Will you please stop with this drama already. It isn't really like you to be jealous."
"I don't want her to be with you!"
"You don't have to be jealous because you're the one I love OK?"
"I still don't want you to be with her."
"Kate please stop being stubborn."
I kissed her for her to stop talking. She didn't seem to stop me from doing that. Then she asked me, "Do you really love me?" I said, "Of course, princess." Then she kissed me again.
She's really stubborn. And it seems that all she wants from me are my kisses. She seems really happy whenever I kiss her. But when I do something else that I thought would please her, things like giving her a candlelit dinner, she doesn't seem happy. All you have to do to please her is to kiss her!
School was completely weird today. One is that Kate kept giving me dirty looks. The second thing happened at rehearsals. Mr. Carter was so furious at something and he let it out all on us. He yelled, "Stop! What are you people trying to do? Are you trying to stop this play from being perfect?!" Chem was fine thank heavens. While in Chem class, David told me that he could drive me to his place after school to talk about the project. I said, "Sure. Thanks." He laughed and said, "No problem, Alex."
This was what Jessica said when I told her about this:
"Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!"
"Quiet down, will you? Please?"
"How can I? You're his partner in Chemistry, and in a Social Studies project. You're in a lead role in a play together with him. And you're going to go over his place and he offered you a ride with him!"
"Look. I didn't know how to get to his place so I said yes, ok?"
"Still!"
"I really don't get you sometimes."
"You're the luckiest girl alive!"
"No, I am not."
"Whatever."
Just as she said that, the bell rang and classes started again. I don't get it. Why do I bother telling her about such a small thing? Oh right, she made me SWEAR! *sigh*
After school and rehearsals, I kissed Kate goodbye and told her that nothing would happen between me and Alex. She seemed to be ok with it. Alex agreed to get a ride home with me. She was really quiet when we were in the car. She didn't say anything. I asked her if something was wrong. She just smiled and said," No, nothing is wrong. I'm fine." I said, "Ok. Sure."
When we got to my place, her jaw dropped. I laughed at her and told her, "You like it?" She seemed really interested in the house. She said to me, "Yeah. It's really pretty and it's huge!" I just told her, "Haha...Thanks! Come on, let's go inside." When we got inside, she looked like a little girl on her first visit to the aquarium, looking at everything and smiling. She looked so cute.
"Where do you want to talk about the project? My room or my dad's study?"
"Uhm...Any would do."
"Ok. Let's just go to my room."
"Ok."
Shoot! I forgot my room was such a mess! "Uh...Alex, I'm sorry if my room's a mess," I apologized. She smiled at me and said, "Oh it's no problem. I'm used to rooms like that. My dad's like that too." I said, "You sure?" She answered, "Yeah." I started asking the questions first.
"Where do you want to live?"
"Hmm...A small house that will be able to fit 4 people I guess."
"Four? How come four?"
"Uh...Well, It depends on how big you want the family to be."
"Oh. So the two of us plus two kids. I get it."
"Yeah. And if it's ok with you, it'll be an older boy and a younger girl. Is that ok?"
"Sure. It's no big deal. I'm fine with that."
"Great! You see, I've always wanted to have a big brother. Haha..."
It went on until around 9:30pm. She fell asleep on the table while I went to the kitchen to get some drinks. So I called her parents and told them that Alex would be staying here for tonight coz she fell asleep. They said it was ok. I carried her over to my bed and I slept on the sofa. She's like an angel when she's sleeping.
Where am I? This isn't my room...Oh right! I was at David's place last night for the project. But what am I still doing here. It's already morning! I have to go home.
"Good morning sleepy head," came a voice from the back. When I turned around, I saw...David! Then I suddenly got up and said, "Good morning! Did I fall asleep?"
David said, "Yeah. But I called your parents and told them that you fell asleep. They said that they didn't mind if you stayed here till morning."
"Oh. Thanks."
"You want breakfast? There's some downstairs."
"Thanks but I'll just go home."
"C'mon. It's just breakfast."
"Uhh...Ok then."
Just then, Katelyn came bursting through the doors. She jumped and hugged David. Kissed him a couple of times. She then switched her eyes to me. She said, quite angrily, "What are you still doing here?" David told her, "She fell asleep last night so I thought that it would be less hustle if I just let her sleep."
"But why is she on your bed?"
"I carried her there."
"*gasp* You slept with her!"
"Of course not. I slept over the sofa. Look, my pillow and my blanket are still there."
She looked at the sofa and felt relieved. She tuned to me, "Shouldn't you be going home now?" I started to get out of bed and said, "Yeah. I'll be going now." I made the bed and left. But before I got to the door, David managed to say, "Wait. I thought you were staying for breakfast?" Katelyn looked at David, not believing what she just heard and yelled, "What?!?!" To stop the two from fighting, "Maybe I should just go. I'll see you in school."
Whew! That was so close. I felt like she was going to rush towards me and kill me. Maybe I shouldn't fall asleep the next time I come over. I'm going to be dead when that happens again. x_x
When Alex left, I had breakfast with Kate instead of Alex. Kate scolded me all throughout the meal.
"Why couldn't you just ask Bob(driver) to take her home?"
"I told you already, it would be too much work. And besides I didn't want to wake her up."
"You just liked her sleeping."
"That's not it. If she was you, you wouldn't want me to wake you, do you?"
"Well, no. But there's a difference between the both of us. I'm your girlfriend and she's not."
"Fine. It won't happen again."
We went out after that. She bought loads of stuff! Clothes, accessories, shoes, magazines, etc. And she made me carry everything. I know I'm her boyfriend and all but she doesn't have to treat me like her slave. Plus, she's so needy and clingy. She wasn't like this when we first started going out.
I took her home after lunch. She wouldn't stop kissing me. When she finally let go of me, she made me promise that I shouldn't keep on hanging around Alex. I promised her at once to avoid an argument.
First thing to do Monday morning, apologize to Alex for what happened this morning. Next, try to schedule another meeting for the project. I'm going to be dead!
When I got home, I didn't call Jessica at once. I decided to just tell her on Sunday. But that plan changed when she came over that night just to hear about what happened.
"So, what was the house like? Did he have a butler? I know he has a limo, and a really huge mansion, but what's it like inside? Like a palace? What? Spill Alex!"
"The house was huge. Chandeliers all over the place. Not entirely like a palace. It is a palace! His room is 5 times bigger than my own. He does have a butler and hundreds of maids."
"What did you do?"
"We talked about the project. Since it was getting really late, he offered to get some coffee. I must have dozed off before he came back coz I don't remember drinking anything."
"You slept over at his place?!"
"Yes. But I got rampaged by his girlfriend just as I woke up."
"Ooohh. I'm gonna kill that Katelyn. She's such a....I don't wanna say it!"
"Just forget about it."
"Alex, did he kiss you?"
"What?!"
"Kiss...You do know what a kiss is don't you?"
"Yes, I do know. But we didn't and he didn't even come close. Besides he has a girlfriend."
She went on asking questions about David. Non stop! I just answered them patiently. She was called by her mom. She had to go home and I could breathe easily again. She asked so many questions and some of them I couldn't even answer coz I had no idea what she was talking about. If you ask me, she's obsessed with David.
Monday morning. I'm so tired. I can't seem to recall why. "Boo!" I jumped and turned to see who it was. Kate. Oh right, Kate invited me to go to a club last night. I went home really late. I didn't get enough sleep and I think I'm hung over.
"David, you alright? Are you still drunk?"
"No. I'm fine. Just didn't get enough rest. That's all."
"OK. I'm gonna go to class now. I'll see you later."
"Yeah. See 'ya!"
I'm feeling kinda woozy. I wanna lie down and sleep. My head hurts. I need to go to the nurse's office. How come everything's spinning?
Where am I? *blinks* I'm in the nurse's clinic! What time is it? It's 11:00 am already! I'm late for fourth period!
"Oh good. You finally woke up. The girl who brought you here would be so happy to hear about this. She looked so worried when she brought you in here."
After fourth period, I went back to the nurse's office to see if David was feeling better. When I got there, he was already sitting up straight and he looked much better than this morning. I said, "Hey, how are you feeling?" He blinked a few times and said, "I'm feeling much better. Thanks."
"Good. Coz I thought you were really sick."
"Were you the one who brought me here?"
"Uhm...Yeah. But I got a little bit of help from some guy who was nearby. I couldn't carry you all by myself coz you were kinda...Well, heavy."
"I'm sorry."
He looked real worried about me. Before he could say anything else I said to him, "Don't be. I'm fine. You should be worried about yourself." He shook his head. He stood up and hugged me. It felt really warm. But it felt awkward too. I pulled away from him as fast as I could. Not because I didn't like him hugging me. It was because Katelyn was standing at the doorway. Standing there with her eyes and mouth wide open. She walk towards me and slapped me on the face and said, "You...you..." I saw tears streaming down her eyes as she looked at David. Then she ran out of the room.
When I saw Kate crying, I quickly turned to Alex and said, "I'm so sorry." I really was. Then I ran out of the nurse's office and went after Kate. I caught up to her. She slapped me. And I said to her, "even if you hit me a thousand times, I wouldn't care if it hurts me coz I deserved it."
"You're damn right you deserve it."
"Kate, please don't be mad. I'm sorry. I hugged her only because..."
She didn't let me finish. She held her hand up in the air in front of my mouth. "I don't need you explanations. We're over. It's not really working out between us anymore. Ever since she arrived here, everything changed. And I know want I've done was really wrong, but I kinda have someone else in my mind now. I'm really sorry David. And I'm personally doing this now so that we would avoid getting hurt even more. Ok?" I was speechless. She had another guy and she slapped Alex? I said to her, "Ok, but why did you have to hit Alex if you wanted to break up with me? You didn't have to do that." She was shaking and more tears came down, "I'm sorry. I'll apologize to her and explain everything to her later after class. I have to go now. Sorry."
She ran after that. I went back to the clinic and Alex wasn't there anymore. I asked the nurse and she said that she already went back to her class. I have to apologize to her, too. For getting her in the middle of me and Kate. She didn't deserve to get hit like that.

When I got to fifth period, Jessica asked me what happened. I whispered to her, "I'll tell you later, ok?" The bell rang for lunch. Jessica and I headed for the cafeteria. She questioned me at once, "What happened?!"
"Nothing really."
"You're lying. Spill!"
"Kate slapped me coz she saw David hugging me."
"What did David do?"
"He ran after her and then I left. I didn't want to know what they would do to each other."
"Aww..."
She never gives up. "Does it hurt?" came a voice from behind me. I turned my head and I saw David. I replied, "No. Not anymore. I'm fine." He tried to say something but I didn't hear it so I had to say "Sorry, I didn't get that." He said, "Can I talk to you? Uh...privately, I mean." I looked at Jessica and she had a really weird face on. I turned back to David and said, "Uh...Sure."
We went to the library. It was the nearest and least crowded place he could find. He then said, "Kate broke up with me." I was shocked when I heard this. It was because I was wondering why he was telling this to me.
"I'm sorry."
"No. Don't be. It's not your fault."
"But I'm still sorry."
"She said that she already has someone else. She's been seeing him for quite a while now. It's funny though."
"What is?"
"I didn't feel hurt at all when she told me all this."
"You...Didn't?"
"No."
Just as he said that, he came closer to me and kissed me. It felt really good. It was only for a short while. When he pulled back, he said, "Maybe it was because I wasn't in love with her anymore." I didn't get what he said. I was puzzled. "What do you mean by that?" He smiled at me and said, "It means I'm in love with someone else. Someone who has been so close to me. Do you know who that someone is, Alex?" my heart was pounding. It was so loud that I could hear it already. And I think he could hear it too. I shook my head and said, "No, I don't know who she is."
He came in for another kiss. But this time it was longer than the first. He said, "That person is you, Alex. I'm in love with you." He kissed me again. I wanted him to stop because even though he already doesn't have a girlfriend, it was still wrong to be kissing in the library. I tried to push him away but all I could do was stand there and kiss him back. It was so warm. It felt so good.
I pulled back after a few minutes of kissing. I'm deeply in love with Alex and I'm not afraid to show it. I know it's kinda stupid and I was way too fast with her, but she took it quite well actually. I quickly apologized to after realizing what I have just done. I said, "I'm so sorry. I got carried away and..." She blushed and said, "It's nothing. I'm fine."
"Are you sure? I went way too much."
"Yeah. I'm sure."
"Oh good."
"Uhm..Can I ask you something?"
"Sure, go ahead."
"Uh...Did you really mean what you said? When you said you love me."
I paused for a while, her her hand tight and looked her straight in the eye. "Yeah. I mean it, Alex." And then she smiled. A smile so warm and gentle. Then I said to her, "Hey, let's get something to eat. My stomach's growling and I don't want you to hear it." She laughed and said, "OK. I'm getting quite hungry too."
When we got back to the caf, Jessica came to me and asked, "What happened?!" I thought, As usual. She always asks what happens between me and David. But I don't keep anything from her. She's the first person I made friends with in this school. So I told her everything that happened in the library. I ended it by saying, "I don't know what to do. It feels awfully weird." She said with a really weird smile on her face, "Just do what your heart tells you to. He's a really great guy." Then her whole expression changed. She went back to being her old wacky self. Then she said, "Ooh...You and David are gonna be such a cute couple!"
After classes, we went straight to rehearsals. The teachers were really pleased with us. They said we were improving so fast. It was really weird when they told us to go home early. Maybe it was a reward for making progress. When I got to the gate, someone from behind yelled my name so I turned to see who it was and I saw David.
"Hey Alex! I was wondering if you wanted to hang out and finish our Social Studies project. Is that ok with you?"
"Uhm...Yeah, sure. I guess."
"Great! Come on. I know the perfect place."
We ended up being in this cafe. We talked all afternoon when I suddenly noticed that it was already 06:00p.m. My mom's going to freak out! So I said, "Uhm... David? It's getting kind of late. My mom worries about me when I come home late." The he locked at his watch and said, "Yeah. You're right. I'm sorry."
"No. It's ok. Let's just go now before it gets really late."
"Haha...You're right. Come on, I'll give you a ride home."
"Thanks so much."
"No problem. So, we'll start on our essays tonight?"
"Yeah. Ok."
David took me home and he kissed me goodbye in the car. It felt so nice. He was so sweet and gentle. I thought I was in heaven. When I got inside, Mom said, "Where have you been. I thought you only had rehearsals till 5:00p.m." I quickly said to her, "Yeah. I'm sorry mom. You see, David asked me if we could hang out for a while and finish our Social Studies project. I said yes and we went to this small cafe. We finished the project but we lost track of time. I'm really sorry mom." She said, "That's ok, sweetheart. As long as you're safe and nothing happened to you."

I have never felt anything like what I have just felt with her. This is much more different from before. Alex is special and that's that! I'll treat her like she's a real princess. And I will never hurt her no matter what.
